                            My DAD

The last thing my dad said to me before he died
was in a conversation about him being 84 and in
poor health and how he was sitting at the bottom
of the steps coming down from the second story of
his house and he couldn't breathe well.
    He was out of breath.
I told him I didn't know how to pray for him
because he had lived his whole life for this
impending moment of death and the excitement of
finding the reality of Christ and yet he loved
    those around him.
He could truly say with the apostle Paul, "For
me to live is Christ, to die is gain."
As we talked he said he had to go rest because
    he was tired.
Then he said this to me in regards to our on
going conversation about the future and life----

"God is sovereign and I'm ok with that, I love
    you son."

My dad was a good thinker. We didn't always see
eye to eye but very few people could think
outside the box like he could.....David
