Love is a choice of the will, one can choose to
give it or withhold it as little or as much as one
chooses.
It is a commitment to any object we choose.
So much of the time it is given to a spur of the
moment feeling to ones senses. That is, taste,
feel, smell, seeing etc.
It is most often given without thought, in order
to gain instant gratification.
Sometimes we learn what it is we choose to love.
Over a period of time we learn that certain things
please us more than others and we “love” those things.
A choice made for us genetically.
If one is a learner of life and pays attention
to how he or she is made, that is, how we respond to
certain stimuli, negative or positive, one can learn
what one loves.
Dicipline will keep one in pursuit of that,
“that,” meaning, the package of ones responses to
stimuli to the positive nature and not that of the
negative nature.
To love the positive stimuli in another person is
to choose to love that person.
