    TRUSTING GOD

Isaiah 40:12 says something about the omnipotence of God.
    Something about His power.
Certainly it pays to “wait” and “trust” in a God who is more
    powerful than any other.

The verse says, “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?”

It pays to wait on Him because He has the power to do the
impossible. He measured all the seas, water, oceans, in the palm of His hand!  The word “span” means, “little finger” He meted out the heavens with His little finger!

A cluster of stars called the Andromeda Nebulae gives us some
idea of the vastness of our universe.  The Andromeda Nebulae is as far as the  human eye can see. If you look up at the Andromeda Nebulae tonight, the light which reaches your eye will have left that particular series of stars ONE MILLION, SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND YEARS AGO!

Light travels about six trillion miles in one year. If light travels six
trillion miles in one year, and it takes one million, six hundred thousand years for light to come from Andromeda Nebulae to earth, That gives us a rough idea of distance in outer space.

                           6,000,000,000,000 x 1,600,000

The Andromeda Nebulae is a very close-in set of stars. Beyond
the Andromeda Nebulae are millions and billions and trillions of stars, and they have been there for a very long time.

We can see the light through the telescope, and in some cases it took that light, billions of years to come to the point of the telescope.

AND WITH HIS LITTLE FINGER JESUS CHRIST PUT THE WHOLE THING OUT THERE!

Billions of stars, millions of galaxies, billions of light years apart!

Why is it so easy to believe that, but so hard to trust Him to put His Spirit in us without our help?

Why is it so hard to quit trying to offer our behavior to Him in
    exchange for His grace?
Why is it so hard to trust Him to do what He says He will do if we will stop trying to please Him and  simply trust Him?

Without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE  to please Him!
With His little finger He placed the heavens where they are, fixed their course and gave them the energy with which to function. Marvel of  marvels!

And He offers His total self to us simply for trusting Him to do what He says He will do.
