                      WORD STUDY

I was listening to a preacher talk about
dissecting bible verses to get their full meaning
and he said to study each word at a
    time.
At that time in my life Heb 13:5 was (and
still is) very much a stabilizing force.
I took the first word "I" and began to look at
    the names of God.
The Jehovah names in the Old Testament,  (The
names that God called himself) the names Jesus
was called and I came up with a mind boggling
study of the word "I" as the first word in the
    verse.
Next came the word "will"...God spoke into
existence everything. He willed it....He told
Abraham what He was going to do and He did it...
He willed it....He brought Jesus out of the tomb
according to His will.....Jesus said "I come to
    do my Fathers will"
     Next I started on "never" - Not-ever - When I
thought of it that way my mind immediately went
to the word "everlasting" It stands to reason
that if He will never leave us, "everlasting" is
    not a stretch at all.
In searching everlasting I discovered that the
Greek had a picture associated with everlasting.
The picture was that of an object falling into
bottomless and underneath bottomless were a pair
of arms to catch the falling object........
UNDERNEATH BOTTOMLESS HE IS THERE! .....
We can't fall too far because the promise is
    .....underneath bottomless He is there!
You can go on with the study it gets
better..... "Thee" That's you, that's me...
personal.....He won't leave us nor will He turn
His back on us. He won't give up on us!
It doesn't matter what we go thru or how much
    falling or anything else.
The promise is from Him about His character and
is not based on us in anyway.

Think of it...the God who created everything
out of nothing has said to you and to me......

"I will never leave you nor forsake you."
